Data security and GDPR: How digital assets are protected in the teamnext Media Hub

By Support-Team

Digital assets are only truly usable when they are secure. Photos, videos, graphics, and documents often carry sensitive information. That is why data security in the Media Hub is not an add on. It is a baseline.

Security starts with hosting

The Media Hub stores and processes digital assets in high performance data centres within Europe. Only certified operators are used.

  • ISO 27001 as the standard for information security

  • ISO 27018 as the standard for cloud privacy protection

The goal is simple. Data stays in an environment that meets European security requirements.

Encryption at rest and in transit

Assets are protected while stored and while being transferred.

  • Stored in AES 256 encrypted containers

  • Transport channels secured with SSL certificates

Files are not just placed somewhere. They are protected end to end.

Redundancy instead of risk

After upload, data is mirrored multiple times. A redundant backup is stored in a separate container.

  • Multiple mirrors after upload

  • Redundant backup in a separate environment

If something is deleted by accident, the support team can restore it. This keeps the Content Stream stable even when mistakes happen.

GDPR compliant without detours

Storage and processing are GDPR compliant. A data processing agreement can be signed at any time. No extra cost.

  • GDPR compliant data handling confirmed

  • Data processing agreement optional and free of charge

Private Cloud for special protection needs

For organisations with higher requirements, the Media Hub is available as a Private Cloud hosted in a German data centre. In that setup, an additional agreement under section 203 of the German Criminal Code can be added.

  • Private Cloud in a German data centre

  • Optional section 203 agreement as an extension to the data processing agreement

This is designed for customers such as hospitals, public institutions, or other organisations with special confidentiality duties.

Privacy by Design as a standard

The Media Hub was built with Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default from day one. Since GDPR came into force, both principles are mandatory for companies serving customers in the EU. Article 25 of GDPR defines them as data protection by design and by default.

In short: Data security in the Media Hub is not a future promise. It is part of the platform DNA.
