How can I convert an image into a PDF file?

Converting image files to PDF can be useful, for example for print preparation or when an image is needed as a page in a multi page PDF document. Convert PDFs to image files

The reverse direction is also possible. PDF files can be exported to image formats such as JPEG, PNG, or TIFF. This is typically not available via the default tools on Windows or macOS.

A common option is Adobe Acrobat Pro. Acrobat Reader is not sufficient for this. If conversion is rare, freeware tools may be adequate. There are also online services that convert PDF files to images.

Caution is recommended for browser based services. Uploading files to third party servers can expose both content and metadata, which can be relevant for privacy and compliance.
